Rules & Regulations
Judging
Judging will be conducted fairly by a panel of
distinguished parents (3 to 4 is usual) with
no prejudice in regards to sex, race, or age. However, a sensitivity
to a wide variety of types of children is desirable. All Judges decisions are final.
Contest Fee
The majority of the contest fee monies are used for contest
costs such as; marketing, advertising, administrative, computer support and
other supporting costs and of course to pay for prizes. The contest fee is not refundable.
Winner Notification
Winners will be notified within two to three weeks after winners are announced. All others who advanced to the final stage of judging will receive their certificate and a winner's flyer within four weeks after the winners are announced.
Winners and Photos
Upon paying the entry fee and
submitting your child's photo's for entry - Parent/Guardian of winners authorize American Baby Contest (ABC) to publish their name and
photo (not their street address or phone number) see our
privacy policy. Too view previous winners
see our Photo Galleries section. All those who
advance to the final stage of judging will automatically be sent the names and photos of the top winners with their returned photos.
We take due care of all photos, but cannot be held responsible for photos
lost or damaged during shipping through the U.S. Mail.
If the OFFICIAL JUDGING FORM is not received by the due date on the front of the form, photos will be
automatically entered into the next contest.
Winners who do not return their
signed winners announcement form within four weeks after it was sent out by ABC will forfeit their prizes. However, to be fair to
the child they will maintain their placing and have their name and photo posted.
Frequency of
Winning
As of January
1st 2001, contestants are
ineligible to win the contest (including any category
or placement) more than three (3) times within the two year period by paying the entry fee and following
the contest rules. Any contestant that enters and wins more than three times over a two
year period will forfeit their contest fees.
Other Rules
Photos submitted for placement in
the Semi-Finalist Portrait Gallery will go online as soon as possible and will
remain in the gallery at least until the next contest ends.
No employee of ABC or any affiliate company,
judge or panel member, nor any of their family members are eligible to enter in any contest.
By submitting a clear photo that is acceptable for judging you are qualified to advance to the final stage of judging.
You must be the
legal guardian of the child you are entering in the contest and be over 18 years
of age.
To be a Semi-Finalist
To advance to the final stage of judging
and be considered a Semi-Finalist you must:
A. Pay the judging fee.
B. Complete and sign the Official Judging Form satisfactorily.
C. Agree to comply with all rules and regulations of the contest as listed
above.
D. Submit an acceptable photo
of the child you are entering.
Please Note:
A $25.00 fee will be charged for any un-cashable checks or un-processable charge
cards and winners will have to forfeit all prizes.
